Requirements
- WordPress 6.4 or later
- PHP 8.1 or later
- administrator access to the WordPress site
- authority to connect and monetize the site
Install SilentAds
Download the current SilentAds plugin package directly from silentads.ai. The plugin is distributed as a ZIP for manual WordPress installation and is not currently listed in the WordPress.org directory.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add Plugin.
- Choose Upload Plugin.
- Select
silentads.zip. - Choose Install Now.
- Activate SilentAds.
SilentAds uses its first-party update channel on silentads.ai. WordPress checks for new releases in the normal Plugins screen, and automatic updates are enabled by default so compatibility, security and reliability fixes are installed promptly.
Connect your site
- Open Settings → SilentAds.
- Choose Connect SilentAds.
- Review the target hostname shown on the SilentAds connection page.
- Confirm your authority and accept the Publisher Terms and the participation agreement shown during connection.
- Choose Connect & start monetizing.
- Return to WordPress in the Connected state.
No manual API keys are required in the normal connection flow.
Monetization controls
ON
Matching and delivery are active for eligible published content.
OFF
Monetization is paused while the site remains connected. Turn it on again to resume matching and delivery.
Disconnect
This is a separate confirmed action under Manage connection. It revokes the site connection, and reconnecting requires the connection flow again.
Understand post status
The SilentAds panel in the WordPress post editor reports the locally known status for that post or page. Current states can include:
- Matched — an eligible offer decision is available.
- No eligible offer — content was checked but no suitable offer is currently available.
- Not checked yet — no local match result exists yet.
- Monetization paused — the site remains connected but matching and delivery are paused.
- Not connected — connect the site before matching can operate.
- Match error — the latest attempt recorded an error.
Opening the editor status does not itself trigger a commercial match.
System status & diagnostics
The diagnostics section reports the site connection, hostname, whether a credential is present locally, monetization state, plugin version and the latest public service health-check result. It also provides Copy diagnostics and Clear match cache actions.
Run connection test checks service reachability and does not perform an offer match or validate the stored credential remotely.
Clear match cache
Clearing the SilentAds match cache removes existing match decisions. Content is not matched again immediately; it is checked when next updated or during the scheduled matching cycle.
A normal page refresh does not trigger matching.
Disclosure & privacy guidance
The plugin includes general disclosure and privacy guidance in the WordPress admin and integrates with the WordPress Privacy Policy Guide. Individual commerce programmes and applicable law may impose additional requirements, so the general wording should be adapted where necessary.
Read the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Publisher Terms.
